On May 31, 2006 finished its work  "International Forwarder’s Day 2006" in Оdessa. This event was a logical step on the way to realization of the Law of  Ukraine "About the complex program on affirmation of Ukraine as a transit state in 2002 - 2010" and the development program of the national network of international transport corridors for 2006-2010 approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in April 2006.

Similar international meetings in Ukraine play one of the most important roles for the transport potential in Europe and every time demonstrate a considerable importance of development and carrying out an efficient transport policy in the country. The leading role is accomplished by an accelerated development of the transport infrastructure, establishment of the national network of international transport corridors in accordance with the international standards, integration into the transport systems of Europe and Asia, the Baltic and Black Seas’ regions. A particular attention is paid to realization of projects on the activity of the transport-forwarding community on high-quality servicing of cargo flows.

"International Forwarder’s Day 2006" had been initiated by the CJSC PLASKE under protection of the Federation of International Associations of Transport Associations (FIATA) and with the support of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Transport and Communication of Ukraine, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the International Federation of Forwarders’ Association (CLECAT), the Association of Ukrainian Transport-Forwarding Companies "Ukrzovnishtrans", the Association "European Union of Ukrainian Transport Companies".
